Best 10 Day Split

A strong first Italy route is four nights in Rome, three nights in Florence, and two or three nights in Venice depending on flights. This keeps the trip rail-friendly and gives each city enough time to be more than a photo stop.

Rome Base

Rome needs time because ancient sites, Vatican planning, neighborhoods, churches, and food areas are spread across different days. Book high-demand attractions early and avoid stacking the Colosseum, Vatican, and every major piazza into one exhausting day.

Florence Middle

Florence is compact, but museums and day trips can fill the schedule quickly. Use it for Renaissance art, markets, viewpoints, and a possible Tuscan day. Keep evenings simple and walkable.

Venice Finish

Venice is best with at least one early morning and one evening after day crowds thin out. Stay on the island if budget allows, pack light, and treat wandering as part of the itinerary rather than wasted time.
